These images are re-adaptations of graphics from the May 1968 Paris Uprising. They are meant to connect the past to the present and to celebrate the legacy of mass movements in Paris. The May 1968 uprising critiqued capitalism, consumerism and traditional institutions, and it employed direct action, civil disobedience, student strikes, and general strikes. The climate justice movement would be wise to be equally critical of capitalism and to be as urgent with its tactics. Like the Paris 1968 graphics these images were made quickly and are meant to be easily disseminated.
